i've noticed something...
there's a marked difference between the squirrels that live around the TAs and the squirrels that live around the dorm. The latter are considerably un-squirrel-like in some of their behavior... like how close they will come up to you in order to get their little paws on some food. or the fact that they will eat decidedly un-squirrel-like food items like snickers bars and meat.
the squirrels around my house seem a lot more normal. and by that i mean that they are not equally convinced that i speak squirrel and are much more wary when i try to approach them. and the strangest thing i've seen one of them do is try to carry an entire apple up a tree. oh, except for the squirrel who proved himself (herself?) entirely incapable of building a nest in the tree by our living room; as evidenced by the large pile of dead leaves under the tree...
